A rich history in modular and distant theological education

It was in 1989 that Dr. Stephen Hambley started CCTS as the educational arm of the Canadian Christian Clinical Counselors Association to better prepare students for the calling in their lives.
Since Dr. Hambley's passing, the school leadership was given to Dr. David Karmody and the board of governors, to continue the legacy of modular and distant education pioneered by our founder. As of 2026, the burden of our future has been placed in the capable hands of Dr. D. R. Young, a seasoned pastor and educator.
As a school of ministry preparation, we continue to improve our focus of providing cutting edge courses and programs that will assist the student to become their very best. We are still providing modular and distant education. Modular courses are taught at a local church or designated space, and our distant education is either emailed or mailed in the traditional way.
As a school of theological learning, our goal is to keep your costs down and thus at this time we are not accredited. However, we are constantly working hard to build partnerships with other likeminded schools that do offer such programs and are accredited that you are able to transfer for degree completion.
We are not a campus school, we are purely a distance or online education platform that offer theological programs of an Evangelical world view with an emphasis of Apostolic Theology and application. We are a Spirit-filled and Spirit lead leadership team.
